Accelerator Technologies


The beam quality provided by the linear accelerator system is highly related to the quality of the electron source. NSRRC has accumulated rich experience and technologies from the research and development process of synchronous facilities, and can provide relevant electronic source technical support and system design services.


Pulse power system is another important accelerator technology. The pulse forming circuit (PFN) or resonant circuit can generate high voltage pulses (up to 100k volts) or high current pulses (up to ~k amperes). These pulsed power supplies are used in accelerator systems to generate pulsed magnetic fields to instantly deflect beam orbits or as power supply systems for high-power microwave generators. The industrial applications of pulsed power supply are mainly surface treatment of materials, metal processing and industrial plasma generation.
