Main tasks for the X-ray absorption group include:

  • Routine operation, maintenance, and upgrading of X-ray absorption spectroscopy beamlines (TLS-BL01C1, TLS-BL16A1, TLS-BL17C1, TPS-44A1) as well as associated end-stations.
  • Provide user support when necessary.
  • Organize related training courses.
  • Design and construction of new X-ray absorption spectroscopy beamlines at TPS.
