Facts and Figures 131 Mini-Workshop on Materials, Spectroscopy, Theory, and Beyond Mini-Workshop on Materials, Spectroscopy, Theory, and Beyond was held on November 22 at the NSRRC. The NSRRC organized this mini-workshop to bring together domestic and foreign physicists for an enriching discussion to encourage academic collaboration and international exchanges. This event aimed to establish a robust communication platform, providing researchers with an opportunity for in-depth conversations, exploration of potential collaborations, and sharing of research findings. Among the distinguished speakers, NSRRC was honored to host Prof. Sergey Streltsov from the Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, renowned for expertise in electronic and magnetic properties of transition metal oxides, including the first principles calculations. Prof. Pengcheng Dai, who has made notable contributions to the field of neutron scattering, was on a visit to Taiwan courtesy of the National Cheng Kung University and therefore also invited to share his recent research findings. This mini-workshop was poised to offer a valuable forum for the exchange of knowledge and the cultivation of academic synergy. JACoW Team Meeting 2023 (JTM2023) The Joint Accelerator Conferences Website (JACoW) Team Meeting 2023 (JTM2023) was held from November 28 to December 1 at the NSRRC. Right before the meeting, a by-invitation-only Pre-Team Meeting was held for the JACoWManagement, Indico developers, and super users on November 26 and 27 in Hsinchu. Attendance at meetings is a boundary condition for membership of the JACoW Collaboration The JACoW Team Meeting was held in Taiwan for the first time. Sixteen participants from Taiwan and abroad attended the Mini- Workshop on Materials, Spectroscopy, Theory, and Beyond. and publication of conference proceedings on the JACoW site. The JTM2023 program covered not only electronic publication issues but also the wider field of conference organization ( e.g. , Indico, delegate and exhibitor registration, organization of Organizing Committee and Scientific Program Committee meetings), in addition to the very complex IT issues. The sessions in this meeting function as training for persons organizing JACoW conferences. In total 70 participants from all over the world attended JTM2023.
