Dr. Tzu-Hung Chuang of the NSRRC organized a one-day forum entitled “The Emergent Opportunity for Scientific Research on Quantum Materials by High Brilliance Synchrotron Light Sources” on the first day. Eleven beamline scientists based at or users of the NSRRC presented the latest synchrotron radiation techniques and their research using the TPS beamlines. NSRRC scientists presented the techniques of angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, soft X-ray spectroscopy, resonant inelastic X-ray scattering, photoelectron momentum microscopy, as well as modeling quantum many-body calculations. The presenters also shared their studies on complex oxide architectures, diluted magnetic oxide, Dirac nodal line, quantum materials from symmetry to topology, topological materials, and quantum transistors. The Synchrotron Radiation Forum was held at the 2023 PS Annual Meeting in Taiwan.
