NSRRC Activity Report 2022

Facts and Figures 119 Information Session for Cross-Field Research Collaboration for Potential Science Issues The Information Session for Cross-Field Research Collaboration for Potential Science Issues gathered researchers in the fields of semiconductors, biomedicine, and energy science to learn about the strategies of using multitechniques of synchrotron radiation. The Information Session for Cross-Field Research Collaboration for Potential Science Issues was held on May 11 at AJ Hotel Hsinchu as well as via videoconferencing. This was the first Information Session held by the NSRRC which was intended for outreach and collaboration semiconductors, biomedicine, and energy research by using multitechniques of synchrotron radiation. With the establishment of a platform for integrating various synchrotron radiation techniques and experimental facilities, users and potential users can better understand the capabilities and applications of the NSRRC. They can further consider conducting forward-looking studies at the NSRRC. NSRRC Signed Collaboration Agreement with NCHC for Applications of AIoT The NSRRC signed the Collaboration Agreement with NCHC via video conferencing. The NSRRC signed the Collaboration Agreement with the National Center for High-performance Computing (NCHC) for Applications of AIoT on June 16 via video conferencing. With the Agreement, the NSRRC will be able to make use of the “AIoT Cloud Service Platform” developed by NCHC, and both parties will work in collaboration to develop the AIoT beamline operation and maintenance diagnostic system. The strategic collaboration will bring out the best integration of resources from both parties. 15 th International Conference on X-ray Microscopy The International Conference on X-ray Microscopy (XRM), which was initiated in the 1980s, has evolved into one of the biggest and the most important meetings in the field of X-ray microscopy. At XRM 2016, the NSRRC proposed to host the XRM 2020 and stood out from the competition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, XRM 2020 was cancelled and rescheduled to 2022. In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and to make it easy to attend, the conference ran in an all-virtual mode.
