[photo taken at the NSRRC] NSRRC Signed MOU with the National Museum of Natural Science Director Gwo-Huei Luo of the NSRRC signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sun Wei-Hsin, General Director of the National Museum of Natural Science (NMNS) on January 19 to implement studies on ecology, archaeology, geology, and palaeontology. Under the instructions of the MOST, the foundation of effective resource application and mutual cooperation, as well as the integration of the scientific research and humanities, the NSRRC and the NMNS will mutually participate in a series of diversified exchanges and collaborations. The advanced light source and sophisticated experimental facilities of the NSRRC could be applied for studying artefacts cultivated and collected by the NMNS, including animal and plant specimens, geological minerals, antiques, and paleontological fossils. NSRRC Signed MOU with MPI The NSRRC and Max Planck Institute (MPI) hosted a signing ceremony on June 15. The joint signing ceremony was attended via videoconferencing by Deputy Minster Minn- Tsong Lin of the MOST, Director Gwo-Huei Luo of NSRRC, and Director Liu-Hao Tjeng of Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids (MPI CPfS), and other colleagues. The event marked the third memorandum between NSRRC and MPI to expand the fields and scale of cooperation between Taiwan and Germany; it also symbolized the long-term support and collaboration for advanced scientific research.
