The National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC) and ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) Beamlines in the Czech Republic hosted a MOU signing ceremony via videoconferencing on December 9. The joint collaboration MOU was mainly fixed up by Dr. Hong-Wei Yen, Director of Science and Technology Division of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Czech Republic. ELI Beamlines is a part of the ELI pan-European project, which includes several facilities located in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania. The ELI Beamlines’ ultra-intensive laser systems and unique laser-driven particle acceleration can be a great complement to the X-ray facilities at NSRRC. This international collaboration is expected to facilitate innovative research in physics, molecular sciences, astrophysics and biomedical fields.
