The book entitled 追光之旅 (literally translated as The Journey of Pursuing Light: Stories You Don’t Know about Synchrotron Light Sources), co-published by the NSRRC and the Commonwealth Publishing Group, documents the challenging journey of how the scientific pioneers led to achieve the scientific innovations.
Co-published by the NSRRC and Commonwealth Publishing Group, the book entitled 追光之旅 (literally translated as The Journey of Pursuing Light), a story about the development of synchrotron light sources in Taiwan, hit the online and physical bookstore shelves on August 30th. This non-fiction book documents the challenging journey of how the scientific pioneers led to achieve the scientific innovations.
 
This book unveils the historical development of the synchrotron radiation facilities, accelerator technology and its applications in Taiwan. Readers will learn how the first light source in Taiwan came to a reality at a time of economic and academic transformation as well as how the construction of the second light source was broached, set into action and became a booster for the world’s top research.
