NSRRC-JINR Webinar on Scientific Collaboration in Physics, Chemistry and Bio-Medicine.
The "NSRRC-JINR Webinar on Scientific Collaboration in Physics, Chemistry and Bio-Medicine" was held on September 10th by National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC), Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR), and Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) to share the latest research results and scientific achievements in Taiwan and Russia. In order to facilitate scientific collaborations between NSRRC, JINR and RAS, the webinar was brought about by Director Song-Jeng Huang, Science and Technology Division in Moscow, Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of Taiwan.

The webinar commenced with the opening remarks by Dr. Richard Lednický (Vice-Director of JINR), Representative Chung-Yung Keng (Head of the Taipei Representative Office in Moscow for the Taipei-Moscow Economic and Cultural Coordination Commission) and Dr. Gwo-Huei Luo (Director of NSRRC). Afterwards, a group photo was taken for this momentous occasion that initiated the international collaboration between each other. The scientists from Taiwan and Russia made presentations on the current status of the organizations, most advanced techniques and the latest research results. They also had a panel discussion on the academic exchange plan. A consensus was reached on future collaboration incorporating internship, visiting and exchanging scientists, sharing neutron and synchrotron radiation facilities, and joint research in the fields of structural biology, soft matter, small-angle scattering, 2D materials, theoretical computation, and accelerators. The contact windows of each side have been appointed for further interactions.
