NSRRC's Synchrotron-Driven Innovations for the Synthetic Fiber Industry at FUTEX 2025
2025/10/27
NSRRC exhibited innovative synthetic fiber research at FUTEX 2025.
The "Future Tech Pavilion (FUTEX)" at the Taiwan Innotech Expo 2025 was held from October 16 to 18 at Hall 1 of Taipei World Trade Center. The event was jointly organized by National Science and Technology Council, Academia Sinica, Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Health and Welfare, centering on "AI Experiences × Breakthrough Innovations." It featured four interactive zones, including Smart Robotics, AI Applications & Academia-Industry Collaboration, Quantum Technology, and Sports Technology. The Future Tech Awards were also integrated into the event, showcasing diverse R&D achievement across Taiwan.
This year, NSRRC spotlighted the theme "Propelled Toward Vega—Accelerating the Next Leap of the Synthetic Fiber Industry," highlighting breakthrough innovations in industrial applications. As Taiwan's synthetic fiber industry advances toward high-value, intelligent, and green manufacturing, technologies such as microbeam X-ray scattering at the Taiwan Photon Source and various miniaturized in-situ material processing devices have played a crucial role. These tools not only drive the development of innovative fiber materials but also effectively reduce manufacturing costs and shorten R&D cycles, paving the way for more efficient production. With the support of synchrotron light sources, the industry is being propelled toward a new era of high-end manufacturing, smart textiles, and sustainable development.
