| Congratulation! Prof. Yu Wang Won the Second Taiwan Outstanding Woman Scientist Award |

『The Second Taiwan Outstanding Woman Scientist Award』was awarded to Professor Yu Wang of the department of chemistry of National Taiwan University. Professor Wang specializes in the research of the Electron density distribution and chemical bond, spin crossover and light induced electronic spin state trapping (LIESST) and X-ray crystallography. The Woman scientist award ceremony, sponsored by the Wu Chien-Shiung foundation, was held on January 19 at the International Convention Center of National Taiwan University Hospital from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Professor Yu Wang has obtained numerous honors, including the highest academic honor in domestic chemistry field, the『Academic Medal in Chemistry』; the Outstanding Scholar Award, etc.. She was the first female Dean of College of Science at National Taiwan University and the first female Director of the Department of Natural Sciences at the National Science Council. She also got a tenure of Distinguished Professor from National Taiwan University. With her outstanding achievements in both research and leadership, Professor Wang has set a great model for Taiwan’s society and its scientific research community.
Currtently, Prof. Yu Wang also serves as the Executive Secretary of NSRRC’s Board of Trustee.
